About Me

Hi, I’m Kevin Boese.* I’ve been a lifelong musician and songwriter whose musical journey began in the church, where I honed my musical skills. These days I like to incorporate an energetic mix of acoustic rock and folk into my original tunes, some of which are inspired by the groups I also like to cover, like Dave Matthews Band and Rush, among others. The lyrics I write tend to delve into real-world themes, inspired by gratitude and personal growth. 

I’m into building community and creating experiences that bring people together which I’ve expressed through my involvement with playing music in a local prison, and gigging in local coffeehouses, breweries and other venues. 

I also very much enjoy mountain biking in this beautiful part of the world (Pacific Northwest) and I’m actively involved with our biking association, working with our local indigenous friends, and contributing to maintaining the trails and fostering a love for the outdoors. 

But my proudest accomplishment is raising four incredible children with my amazing wife, Nancy. 

Presently, I've written enough new good songs to work on an album (thus the fundraiser) that will hopefully help get me out there even more to celebrate life and goodness and hopefully bring some joy to folks in these turbulent times. Maybe you'll join me on this journey?

*pronounced “Bohz”, like Bose speakers, though I will answer to “Bohzee”, Boheezy”, “Bohez”, “Boise” (like the city in Idaho) or especially the German pronunciation: “Boeza” – spelled Böse.
